This four-day retreat is a perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The FFS Retreat is situated in the idilic welsh mountains where you’ll be surrounded by mountains and breathtaking scenery. Snowdonia National Park has such a diverse landscape that you can adventure!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Cader Idris located within the Snowdonia National Park. The beautiful home is in an area renowned for it's natural beauty. A perfect base for hiking with miles of tranquil walks. The owners on the cottage are privileged to be farming this mountain and they manage the flock of Welsh Mountain Sheep and a herd of Welsh Black Cattle.

The Cottage: 

1 Twin bed with ensuite, a 1 Twin bedroom, a 1 Double bed and the last bedroom is a Family Room with Double bed, Single bed and an adjoining single bedroom with Single bed. These three rooms share the 1 family bathroom

PROGRAM

The aim for this retreat is to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of life and your laptop. You could either do lots of activities or sit and watch the world go by. As it’s in a fantastic location, you don’t have to do much, just sit back and relax.

Here is a overview of the program, this is subject to change due to weather:

Thursday

  • 14:00 Guest arrive

  • 14:30 Welcome tea & cakes 

  • 15:00 Massages at the accommodation for half the group. The other half go on Friday afternoon. 

  • 15:00 Mobility session with Coach Katie

  • 19:30 Dinner at the cottage

Friday

  • 08:00 Morning Fitness session with Coach Katie

  • 09:00 Breakfast - Self catered

  • 10:00 Mountain Walk

  • 12:30 Lunch - Self catered

  • 14:00 Massages at the accommodation. If you're not having massages then you can go and explore the area or relax in the hot tub.

  • 17:00 Afternoon Fitness session with Coach Katie

  • 19:00 Dinner - Self catered

Saturday​

I started my small group PT classes for ladies only four years ago to get women moving in a happy healthy safe environment. This retreat is to get everyone together whether you’re a FFS member or you wanted to try something new with like minding ladies this is a perfect way to get out in the fresh air of the Welsh mountains and do something different whilst being refreshed and rejuvenated.

 

FOOD

We love sharing food together around a table.  We aim to find fresh, locally sourced delicious food and we choose restaurants that do this well.

  • We have breakfast together everyday. You have a choice to make your own breakfast. We eat breakfast after morning training. We will provide you with a breakfast takeaway box on the last day, Sunday. 

  • Lunch is more flexible and up to you to make your own or eat out. The cottage has kitchen where simple meals are easy to prepare.

  • For dinner, the first night's dinner is included which will be a balanced nutritious meal made with fresh local ingredients. The two other nights we will head to one of our favourite local spots or you can eat in. There is a wealth of cafes and restaurants serving fresh local food in and around the area, the cottage is situated around 20 minutes from the nearest convenient stores. We love the local food and we’re excited for you to try it.​​

We have not included meals except two meals (Thursday dinner and Sunday breakfast) in the price. Generally you can expect to spend between £20-35 per person for dinner.

What's not included

  • Travel to and from the retreat venue and during the trip. 

  • Meals: We will book breakfast and dinner at selected spots, but will ask you to cover those separately alternately you can eat in.

  • Any drinks/meals out 

  • Extra activities: Kayaking is £20 per kayak which fits 2 in a boat

  • Massages, 30 minutes is £40 per person

The Cottage:

Family Room - 3-4 people - £1,125.00 total

Double Room - 1 person - £375.00

Twin Room with ensuite - 2 persons - £630.00, £340 per person 

Twin Room - 2 persons - £662.00, £331 per person

How Do I Book:

You can secure your place with a £180.00 deposit now and pay the remaining balance needs to be paid before the 1st May, or pay upfront, it is your choice.

​

Once your payment is made, you’ll receive our Terms and Conditions to sign for your booking to be confirmed.

​

IF YOU CANCEL YOUR BOOKING:

If you need to cancel your booking, you may be issued a partial refund depending on how close your cancellation request is to the start date of the trip. Below is an illustration of our refund timeline.

Booking Deposit: Your deposit is non-refundable unless we (FightingFitSkip) have cancelled or postponed your trip. 

  • Up to 90 days before departure: If you need to cancel your booking up to 90 days before the start of a trip, we will keep your booking deposit but any other payments you have made to that date will be refunded to you.

  • Between 60 and 90 days before departure: If you need to cancel your booking between 60 and 90 days before the start of the trip, we will retain 50% of the full cost of the trip and refund you any payments you have made over that amount.

  • 60 days or less before departure: We do not issue refunds less than 60 days from the start of a trip.

- FightingFitSkip does not cover your transport to or from the retreat. You make your own way there.

- You will not get a refund if you miss your transport or if it gets delayed.

- If you get injured FightingFitSkip and the team are not liable.

- If you don’t like the accommodation FightingFitSkip is not liable.  

- If the retreat isn’t what you expected FightingFitSkip is not liable.

- If you lose your bags or personal possessions on the retreat FightingFitSkip is not liable.

- FightingFitSkip does not accept any liability for cancellations, delays or changes caused by war, threat of war, terrorist actions or threats, closure of airports, civil strife, industrial action, natural disaster, technical problems to transport, staff cancellations, or other events beyond our control.

- Physical activities are undertaken at your own risk. FightingFitSkip are not liable for any injuries you may incur, or medical conditions which may develop during or subsequent to the retreat. 

- You acknowledge that you will voluntarily participate in our retreat with knowledge that travel involves numerous risks and dangers including, but not limited to, a risk of illness, injury or death.

- We highly recommend that you take out travel and health insurance. This should cover the activities included in the retreat, as well as unexpected cancellation, sickness, losses and any travel disruption. 

- Covid-19 public health regulations - If the local public health policy prohibits gatherings and events from taking place, we will need to postpone the retreat and will notify you as soon as we have a new date. In that event, you have the option to move your booking to the next available date, or obtain a full refund from us.

Cleaning

  • Uses cleaning chemicals that are effective against coronavirus.

  • Linens, towels and laundry washed in line with local authority guidelines.

  • Guest accommodation is disinfected between stays.

  • The accommodation partner we work with follows the guidelines of local authorities.

  • Equipment for activities is disinfected before and/or after use.

Safety features

  • Staff follow all safety protocols as directed by the local government.

  • Hand sanitizer available in key areas.

  • Process in place to check the health of guests.

  • First aid kit available.
